A Milestone Worth Celebrating, this year’s graduation ceremony was more than just a rite of passage, it was a reflection of resilience, commitment and transformation. After years of intensive academic training, clinical practice and community outreach, graduates now join the growing legacy of I-Care Health Training Institution alumni serving across the country and beyond.

The real journey is just beginning and for Sabina Kalangula, one of the proud new alumni, graduation isn’t the end, it’s a powerful new beginning.

“Graduation is just the start,” Sabina shares with quiet conviction. “I want to keep learning and growing in health care”. From the first day she stepped into the halls of I-Care, Sabina carried with her a strong sense of purpose. Her inspiration is family, “My family inspired me,” she says she wants to inspire others to keep pushing toward their dreams too.

Her journey through the program wasn’t just about textbooks and clinicals, it was deeply personal and transformative. Along the way, she discovered something profound: “Kindness and patience can heal just as medicine” she reflects. The simple truth now shapes everything about how she hopes to serve.

For Sabina, the legacy she wants to leave behind is one of dignity and compassion. “I hope people remember me for caring and treating them with respect”. Sabina is not naive to challenges that lie ahead in both her personal and professional life. “The healthcare system can be demanding, imperfect, even unjust,” but what fuels up her deep passion for health education and community awareness is to carry forward every role she takes on. “I care most about health education and creating awareness in the community”.

She emphasizes For Sabina, the journey of learning doesn’t end with a diploma. It’s a lifelong mission. “To me, lifelong learning means never stopping, always improving so I can give the best care possible”. Her vision shines brightly, a future rooted in service, guided by empathy and fueled by an unshakable commitment to make a difference. Because beyond the gown lies the heart of a true caregiver.

As Namibia continues to face complex health challenges, I- Care Health Training Institute remains a beacon of hope and a hub of innovation. The institute is not only producing healthcare providers, it is cultivating change makers who will lead the way in re-imagining and strengthening health systems.
