The official launch of Campus Connect Magazine, a student-led publication focused on uniting student perspectives from universities, colleges, and vocational centres across the country, was officiated by Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Hon. Dino Ballotti, who praised the initiative for its role in fostering a voice for students nationwide.

“Campus Connect is a powerful platform that gives young people the opportunity to express themselves, share ideas, and shape the future of our country,” Ballotti said during the launch.

The co-founder of Campus Connect, Shinana Nghixulifwa, describes the magazine as a response to the growing need of students’ voices being heard. “What inspired us was the need to create a space where students from across the country could freely express themselves,” Nghixulifwa said. “There is also a gap in information reaching students, and we felt it was important to create a platform that they not only relate to, but also use to share their experiences”.

The magazine aims to serve as a central hub for student stories, academic achievements, cultural events, and campus activism. It works closely with Student Representative Councils (SRCs) and contributors from universities, colleges, and vocational training centres to ensure fair representation across institutions. “Campus Connect is not just a magazine; it is a platform where voices are heard, connections are made, and ideas are shared,” Nghixulifwa wrote in the inaugural issue.

Published digitally twice a month, Campus Connect is accessible to students nationwide. Readers can download each edition, subscribe for updates, and contribute their own stories via campusconnectnamibia.com. The editorial team encourages students to actively engage, submit content, and help shape the narrative of Namibian student life. As the magazine gains momentum, it promises to be more than just a publication — it’s a movement to unify, inform, and empower the next generation of Namibian thinkers and leaders.
