The International College-Lingua (TICL) students prepare to embark on a transformative educational trip to South Africa in November 2025. The initiative aims to take learning beyond textbooks and into the heart of cultural and historical exploration.
“We organized this trip to give students a chance to learn outside the classroom and experience a different cultural and historical environment,” Albert Makuvaza, a lecturer explained. The journey is part of Lingua College’s broader commitment to holistic and global education, encouraging students to grow not only academically but personally. Students are chosen based on academic performance, involvement in school activities, and a strong interest in international learning.
In a recent interview with Campus Connect, Makuvaza explained that the group will be welcomed by the University of Johannesburg, where students will engage in light collaboration and gain insights into South African academic life. “I’m really looking forward to meeting students from another country and seeing how their university works.” Johanna Simon said.
She further said that she does not only look forward to seeing the beautiful country but to experience being on a plane, as this will be her very first time. Makuvaza, on behalf of the university, hopes the experience will inspire students to think globally and act confidently.
“We want them to return with new perspectives, stronger independence, and a deeper appreciation for the world beyond their borders.” As the departure date approaches, the halls of TICL buzz with anticipation. For these students, the trip is more than a getaway; it’s a gateway to growth, discovery, and lifelong memories.
