Trainee Representative Councils (TRC’s) from the Windhoek Vocational Training Center (WVTC) highlighted how they have contributed to community development through their skills in 2025.

Meriam Jaanda  WVTC Vice president

I have used my skills to lead WVTC to victory, to encourage the trainees to do better for the future of the community. I believe that the skill of communication is the most important skill because it builds trust and resolves conflict on campus. To be specific, trainees like to be informed about what's going on verbally in order to understand the situation better.

I thank the instructors for their tireless dedication to WVTC. The guidance and wisdom you have shared will be carried far beyond this institution, for that I am truly grateful and looking forward to your continued impact in the future of WVTC. The progress we have made as trainees in problem solving has been impressive and your hard work has truly paid off. As one chapter closes a world of possibilities opens, but remember learning never ends and I am confident you will achieve great things in the future.

Mabby Mupatwa Sanandwa TRC for Academic Affairs 2025 at WVTC:

As an electronics trainee, TVET advocate, and passionate technician, I have used my skills to serve the community in practical, educational, and empowering ways. I regularly assist community members by troubleshooting and repairing basic electronic devices,I also apply my technical knowledge during institutional events by setting up electrical connections, testing equipment, and promoting safe electrical practices and during this year institutional open day I was privileged to present our Electronic systems and devices to various schools from Windhoek. As a dedicated TVET advocate, I use my platform to encourage young people to pursue technical education by sharing opportunities, offering guidance, and demonstrating the value of vocational skills. I often engage with youth groups and peers to explain the importance of hands-on learning, employability skills, and the role of artisans in community development.

As we reach the end of this year, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all our trainees and instructors. This year has been a journey filled with learning, challenges, growth, countless moments of determination, resilience, and sleepless nights . To my fellow trainees, well done for your hard work, discipline, and commitment. You showed resilience even when the workload was heavy and the path felt demanding and challenging. To our instructors, thank you for your dedication, patience, and passion for teaching and nurturing.

Kandjengo Meitavelo, TRC of Sports, Culture & Entertainment at WVTC:

I've focused on creating engaging content to showcase the incredible achievements of our trainees in sports, culture, and entertainment. Whether it's highlighting a winning team, a stunning performance, or a cultural celebration, I aim to keep the WVTC spirit thriving!

To our amazing trainees and trainers, as the year wraps up, I want to say a huge thank you! Your dedication and passion for sports, culture, and entertainment make WVTC a truly special place. Keep shining, keep creating, and keep that WVTC fire burning!
