The institution provides hands-on training for home solar installations through their solar installation, repair and maintenance course. The training program runs for 6 weeks which includes a course work of five topics which are Introduction PV Technology, overview of PV system, design of a PV system, protection(surge arrest, fuses, isolator) operation, maintenance and more.


The curriculum covers the safe handling of electrical components and ensures that learners understand local regulations governing solar energy.

The program also introduces entrepreneurial skills to help graduates pursue self-employment or establish small solar installation businesses. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, enhancing their qualifications for employment in renewable energy.


The students have participated in installing a solar heating system at the Katutura Hospital, providing them with practical and a real world experience.
