Depril Kipalay “Didi” is a student at Lingua College, studying  Electrical Engineering. Campus Connect asked him a few questions regarding his plans for the academic year, and he had the following to say:

How are you preparing for the new academic year at Lingua?

I’m preparing by organizing my study materials early, reviewing key concepts from last year, and setting a realistic study schedule. I’m also making sure I understand the academic expectations at Lingua so I can start the year focused and disciplined.

What are you most looking forward to as the year begins?

I’m most looking forward to learning new content, improving my language and academic skills, and engaging more actively in classes. I’m also excited about personal growth and building stronger connections with fellow students and lecturers.

What are some challenges that students might face this year?

Some students may struggle with time management, academic pressure, or adapting to higher expectations. Balancing studies with personal responsibilities and staying motivated throughout the year may also be challenging.

How do you usually cope with academic pressure and student life?

I cope by planning, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and taking short breaks when needed. I also try to maintain a healthy balance by getting enough rest, staying organized, and reaching out for support when things feel overwhelming.

On a personal level, how ready do you feel for the year ahead, and what are your goals?

I feel motivated and reasonably prepared for the year ahead. My goals are to stay consistent with my studies, improve my academic performance, manage my time better, and grow both academically and personally.
