Anna Nawala is a student at the International University of Management, pursuing a Bachelor's in Health and Wellness. In an interview with Campus Connect, she got to share her expectations for the 2026 academic year.
“As I prepare for this new academic year, I am doing so with a lot of reflection and prayer. I am organising my academic responsibilities, but more importantly, I am preparing my heart and mind for what lies ahead. I've learned that I don't have to carry everything on my own, so I am entering this year trusting God for strength, clarity, and grace as I navigate my studies.
I am most looking forward to growth, both academically and personally. A new year brings renewed hope and the opportunity to start again with intention. I am excited to learn, to be challenged, and to trust that each experience, whether easy or difficult, will shape me for a greater purpose. Many IUM students may face pressure from academics, finances, and personal expectations. For some, the challenge will also be staying encouraged when things feel overwhelming. I believe maintaining faith, resilience, and a supportive community will be essential in facing these challenges. When academic pressure becomes heavy, I try to slow down and remind myself why I started. I plan where I can, seek support, and take moments to reflect. These moments help me regain perspective and peace, especially during demanding times.
On a personal level, I feel quietly hopeful. I know the journey ahead will require discipline and perseverance, but I am stepping into it with trust. My goals are to grow academically, remain consistent, and continue strengthening my faith while becoming the best version of myself throughout the year.”
